Happy Pets LLC was started by José Fernando Castaño with a simple idea: the hardest parts of grooming day have almost nothing to do with the grooming. It is the car ride, the unfamiliar lobby, the barking, and the hours spent waiting in a kennel between the bath and the haircut.
Take all of that away and what is left is just a pet, a groomer, and a quiet, well-equipped van parked outside their own home. That is what we do. Our van carries its own warm water, power, climate control, professional tables and hand-held dryers — never a cage dryer — so we need nothing from your house but somewhere to park.
We groom one pet at a time, six days a week, across 17 cities within 30 miles of San Jose. Nervous rescues, arthritic seniors and cats who have never tolerated a salon are a large part of what we do, and we work at whatever pace those animals actually need.
We serve our clients in both English and Spanish, and every appointment starts with a free, specific quote — never a generic price list.

José founded Happy Pets and personally grooms in the van six days a week. He is known for patient handling of nervous and senior pets, and for breed cuts that come out identical every visit.
